Ambition without knowledge is like a boat on a dry land
he higher revolutions the fast developing life imposes on us could be not sufficient enough. Then life goes on fleeting at full speed and we are forced to run after it. In most of the cases it gives birth to some ambition. The very ambition is an expression of the unsatisfaction of our capacities, as well as the first step towards achieving the state of being perfect. But ambition is like the just made boat - we have found the way to move faster, we want to catch up the slippery life, but now? The boat, just like the ambition needs a driving force and appropriate ambience where to execute its tasks perfectly well. If for the boat this medium is the water itself, undoubtly our ambition needs a solid base of knowledge as such a medium. Basing ourselves on them and managing our knowledge cleverly, little by little we keep the lapse of time and even succeed in setting our own rhythm, dictating the appropriate tempo.
ut in order to set the fashion it is necessary for us to be really adroit helmsmen. The shallow places and the rapid waters, the sharp turns and the waterfalls in the rivers of life are one absolutely serious test for our capacities and skills. How many ambitions have turned into splinters, how many people have drowned in their own knowledge, just because they have chosen and taken the difficult way, Herculean to their abilities. It is very important to judge correctly, how wide, deep and fast must be our river. And then, quite confident in our capabilities, self-confident and brave , we get on in life fast and soon even succeed to be at the head.
nt yet, let's not forget that the large rivers are naturally wider, deeper, slower and as if this makes them more approachable and alluring, but it is also holds true that namely these rivers have the biggest waterfalls. The danger comes immediately, once put to sleep our vigillance and proud of our front position, we have no chance to react in an adequate way. What else could stand for such a typical example as the conservative academic society, sat solidly in its old but steady boat and with pride, and self-confidence preserves the same rhythm kept for ten years till now. This particular society is so blind by its leadership position that it can't see further than the very bow of its own boat and it is also quite probable for it to feel the wiping-away element, hardly after it would be far too late for whatever change.
he summary that inevitably should be made is that, even the solidest knowledge raised to the highest leading position the most ambitious personalities is quite not good enough if the knowledge itself is not enriched daily. It must also be synchronized with the real course of time. Life goes on rather unevenly and just the flexible personality is capable of heading his own ambition to the still waters of the old days.
